Our October concert feature the up-and-coming mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean and pianist Cristian Sandrin who join forces and propose a concert of discovery, a voyage through the art of French song. Lotte is undeniably one of the most innovative young singers in the UK, nurturing a special affinity to new music, whilst her recent album with Stuart MacRae has been July’s Editor’s pick from Presto Classical. Her powerful, yet lyrical and diaphanous voice bonds superbly with the songs of French composer. Together with our co-Artistic Director, they will perform a revelatory programme with songs composed by Pauline Viardot, Germaine Tailleferre, George Enescu along Satie, Debussy and Ravel.
