Only 19 years old, Aksel Rykkvin has already experienced international fame as “the world’s premiere boy soprano” ( Swedish Radio P2). His first two albums both debuted in the Top 10 in the UK Classical Music charts and his concerts and opera roles in Europe were met with critical acclaim. Now at the beginning of what promises to be an equally illustrious baritone career, Aksel has already sung at numerous festivals and on the opera stage in Norway. In Britten’s ‘Noye’s Fludde’, he recently distinguished himself as a "very promising young baritone" with "a great and open sound, light and effortless vibrato and natural phrasing" (NRK). To herald the coming of spring, Aksel will perform an emotionally layered programme of lieder by Schubert, Schumann, and Wolf.
